Techbuyer is one of only 185 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in 2026. Announced on Wednesday 6 May, the Award acknowledges the company’s outstanding achievement in Sustainability.
Employing 190 people, Techbuyer was founded in 2005 and delivers sustainable IT solutions to companies around the world. The company works to reduce the environmental impact of technology on our environment by promoting circular economy IT practices, diverting e-waste from landfill, championing refurbished IT hardware, and advocating for more sustainable technology habits.
“We're incredibly proud to receive the King’s Award for Enterprise, particularly for Sustainable Development - a core aspect of our business. This recognition reflects the commitment, expertise and values of our company and team, as well as the impact that our circular IT model delivers - reducing the impact of IT on our environment, without compromising on performance, efficiency or reliability. It reinforces our belief that sustainability and commercial success must go hand in hand,” says Steve Sexton, CEO.
The King’s Awards for Enterprise -previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise - were renamed in 2023 to reflect His Majesty The King’s commitment to continuing the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II in celebrating exceptional UK businesses.
Now in its 60th year, the King’s Awards for Enterprise remain the UK’s most prestigious business accolades. Successful organisations may use the esteemed King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years, signalling excellence to customers, partners, and global markets.
Applications for the 2027 round will open on 6 May 2026.
