Demand for repair services is increasing as companies of all sizes seek out IT reuse options to extend the life of their hardware assets and satisfy ESG goals.
In a 2024 study conducted by IDC, 68% of enterprises reported contracting third-party maintenance providers. Additionally, organizations are expected to increase IT spending in 2025, a move that will likely increase ITAD volume. According to a survey assessed by Aberdeen, a research institute, 38% of organizations plan to decommission unnecessary infrastructure, and 29% intend to consolidate redundant technologies. The freedom to trade, maintain, and repair hardware is critical to establishing a robust and resilient green market that repair providers and resellers can profit from.
In this webinar, we’ll discuss what’s happening in the industry with respect to the right of ownership and the freedom for consumers and businesses to choose their providers for IT hardware trade, maintenance, and repair. Shannon Mahaffey, Origina and Astrid Wynne, Techbuyer will join us as board members of FreeICT, a nonprofit organization that is working to secure right-to-repair mandates in the United States and Europe.
In this webinar, you will learn:
--Repair and Resale Opportunities
--Challenges that hinder opportunities, and why we need freedom of ownership
--What FreeICT is all about, and how you can get involved
